Study Tour to Borno State Education Trust Fund by Nasarawa State Delegation (June 25-26, 2025) Maiduguri, Borno State

The Borno State Education Trust Fund (ETF) was honored to host a high-profile delegation of education stakeholders from Nasarawa State on a two-day study tour aimed at fostering inter-state collaboration and sharing best practices in educational development.

Delegation Highlights

The visiting team was led by:

  • Hon. Abubakar Idris Adamu, Special Assistant on Education to the Nasarawa State Governor

  • Hon. Sani Shuaibu, Senior Special Assistant on Youth and Students

Purpose of the Visit

The study tour provided an opportunity for:

  • Knowledge exchange on educational policies and reforms

  • Insights into Borno ETF’s operational strategies and achievements

  • On-the-ground assessment of ETF-supported projects

Engagement with Borno State Officials

The Executive Secretary of Borno State ETF, Hon. (Dr.) Maina Yaumi, warmly received the delegation and delivered a comprehensive presentation on:

  • ETF’s operational guidelines

  • Key achievements from 2020 to date

  • Strategies for sustainable educational development

The delegation also paid courtesy visits to:

  • Borno State House of Assembly

  • Office of the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation

  6. Faculty of Education, University of Maiduguri

  7. Federal Government College, Maiduguri

  8. Gwenge II Primary/Junior Secondary School

  9. Shehu Sanda Kyarimi II Primary School

  10. Shehu Sanda Kyarimi Government Day Secondary School
