Hon. (Dr) Maina Yaumi Seeks Partnership with Turkish Maarif Foundation at 3rd Istanbul Education Summit.
In a strategic move to enhance educational development in Borno State, the Executive Secretary of Borno State Education Trust Fund, Hon. (Dr) Maina Yaumi, participated in the 3rd Istanbul Education Summit, held on the 17th and 18th of November 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey.
The summit, themed “Leading the Change in Education,” brought together Ministers of Education, global education leaders, researchers, and policymakers to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative strategies to address pressing educational challenges worldwide.
During the summit, Hon. (Dr) Yaumi engaged with various stakeholders and solicited support and partnership from the Turkish Maarif Foundation—a globally recognized institution known for its commitment to quality education and international collaboration. This effort is aimed at fostering mutual cooperation in capacity building, institutional strengthening, and knowledge exchange to transform the education sector in Borno State.
Key highlights of the event included high-level discussions and breakout sessions on emerging trends in education, innovations in learning, and policy-driven reforms for sustainable development.
This initiative aligns with Borno ETF’s vision to empower the state’s education system through global partnerships, strategic investments, and collaborative learning.
